NOEL BURNS PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Wurtulla, Noel Burns Park proved to be one of those delightful discoveries that makes you wonder why more people don't know about it. The park sits pleasantly alongside the river, offering that perfect combination of tranquility and family-friendly facilities that's becoming increasingly rare. The barbecue area is well-positioned to take advantage of the waterside setting, while the playground keeps the children thoroughly entertained. What struck me most was the network of walking tracks that wind along the river - perfect for a gentle stroll before or after your meal. The whole place has a wonderfully unhurried atmosphere, the kind of spot where you can actually hear the water lapping and birds calling rather than traffic noise. It's refreshingly unpretentious - just a good, honest park that delivers exactly what a family barbecue needs without any unnecessary bells and whistles.
